Sikkim Time lapse - A Beginners attempt

This is a small time lapse video of my all time favorite place -Sikkim. These videos are shot with an Iphone SE. I didnt have any tripod so had to hold the phone in sub zero temperature. Have a look and I promise to make better time lapses in the coming days. Sikkim will always surprise you. This video is for them who asks me why I keep going there.

Roadtrip from Kolkata to Uttarakhand - Nainital, Almora, Kausani and Munsiyari

Kumaon and Garhwal are the two regions of the mountainous state of Uttarakhand. The first thing that comes to our mind when we say Kumaon is Nainital. Nainital is one of the most visited hill stations in India. However other than Nainital there are several other "Tals" (which means Lake), beautiful hamlets, and forests in this region. We started planning in Nov '15 when 2 of my school friends showed interest. We planned to stay in 7 different locations, visit as many as we could, and hoped to see some snowfall in Munsyari. Kumaon region is famous for the outer Himalayas peaks and Panchachuli peaks. These peaks can be seen in places like Kausani, Almora, Chaurkori, and Munsyari. After reading many travelogues in Team-bhp and going through road updates and weather updates the plan was finalized. There were lots of places we could visit, but we had only 8 days. Luckily GoIbibo was giving huge discounts on hotels which helped us reduce the overall trip budget. All the hotels

Drive to East Sikkim - Zuluk, Nathang Valley and Kuppup

Prologue - Elessaar is the name of the car I own now, i.e. Ford Ecosport. I bought it 2 months back. Odo was around 3200km + before the trip. I bought the EcoSport with the sole purpose of touring. The first destination which we planned to do in our new car was Zuluk. I called up a fellow Team-bhp member Sumitro, who was also interested in this long weekend drive. There was a holiday on 2nd October, which was a friday. Using this holiday we planned a 4 day road trip. The place and other plans was Sumitro's idea. Sumitro had a friend, Norden Bhutia who lived at a place near Padamchen. We planned to do camping on a hilltop which Norden and his family owned for 2 days. They also has their own house before hill top, and in case anyone of us isn't interested for camping he/she could stay at their place.

Our journey from hatchback to SUV- Finding the perfect one

So many things have happened over the past few years, so many things have changed. We were frequent road trippers, we had a large group of friends who loved to travel in Kolkata. And every alternate month Sikkim was our place to go. Covid changed everything. It made us stay at home and cancel most of our plans. Most of us are affected by Covid in some manner, directly or indirectly. But not all that happened was bad. We also became parents last year, blessed with a beautiful baby boy. And while I am writing this article after 2 years our little toddler is playing beside me with toy cars. The last piece I was writing was on our Bhutan road trip. It is still in draft and I don't think I will ever finish it. Memories have started to fade and small details I can't remember anymore. Of course, there are pictures and videos of Bhutan but now there are more important things to do and remember. (P.S - Bhutan road trip was fantastic, sharing a photo here) I moved to England in 2019.
